Professional Environmental Training®
Professional Environmental Training is licensed, accredited, and authorized in many states to provide the environmental safety and health training required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency, and state agencies. We offer courses to maintain accreditation and licensing in the fields of asbestos, lead and lead-based paint, OSHA construction and general industry standards, hazardous materials, and hazardous communication standard (HAZCOM). The training center is conveniently located in the city of South Houston near Hobby Airport. We also offer onsite training at your company workplace.
Company president, Fredy Polanco founded Professional Environmental Training in 2003. Today, he is a Board-Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with over 30 years of experience in occupational health and environmental training. After graduating with an engineering degree from the National University of Colombia-Universidad del Valle, Mr. Polanco went on to earn a Master’s degree in industrial hygiene and safety from The University of Houston at Clear Lake. Previously, he worked at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler as a faculty member, as well as the director of The Occupational and Environmental Training Program. He has also served as an EPA peer reviewer for NESHAP alternative control method evaluation.
